The Rivers State Police Command says it has arrested over twenty policemen alleged corrupt practices within the last one week.
The State Commissioner of Police FRANCIS ODESANYA announced this today at his maiden press briefing as Rivers State Commissioner of Police.
The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State explained that the policemen were arrested by the monitoring team set up by the Acting Inspector General of Police to enforce the ban on road blocks
The newly Rivers State Commissioner of Police CP FRANCIS ODESANYA also told journalists that the command will key into the State Government efforts in reintegrating repentant cultists and criminals into the society.
He however said the command will not relent in clamping down on criminals in the State.
