Amiesimaka is first guest for SWAN Rivers Platform


Former Green Eagles winger, chief Adokiye Amiesimaka will be the first guest on the new SWAN Rivers Platform next week.

The former player and chairman of defunct Sharks FC confirmed his participation on Friday via email after receiving an invite.

The SWAN Rivers Platform is powered by Foskolo Media Productions in partnership with the Rivers State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria,(SWAN) and is a monthly parley between sportsmen/ administrators and members of SWAN in the state.

Adokiye Amiesimaka played club football for Enugu Rangers, Sharks FC and ACB as well as the Nigerian National team.

He was a member of the Green Eagles team that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1980.

He also played the AFCON in 1978.

He had previously attended CMS Grammar School, Lagos, where as captain of the school’s soccer team he won Lagos State’s Principals’ Cup.

He was Team Manager and then chairman of Sharks FC and as served in Rivers State as Commissioner for Justice/ Attorney General.

He was also once Director of Public Prosecution in Rivers State.

The event that holds on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11am will be live on Facebook and twitter.

The moderators for the day will be China Acheru, a Blogger and Chuma Nnoli, a sports caster at Nigeria Info FM in Port Harcourt.
