Now this is something to celebrate! Ciara and Russell Wilson are set to wed.
“Following Paris Fashion Week, Russell surprised Ciara with a surprise holiday,” her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Playing a game of “travel roulette,” Wilson gave his future wife 30 possible destinations in the world to guess where she was headed. “She was shocked when they landed in the Seychelles at the exclusive resort North Island,” adds her rep.
The resort is a popular holiday destination for royals and other famous faces. Prince William and Duchess Kate honeymooned there, and other power couples including Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and Victoria Beckham and David Beckham have all vacationed there.
“The biggest surprise was that Russell proposed to his new fiancé at the romantic private “Honeymoon Beach” located on North Island,” says the singer’s rep.
“She said Yes!!! Since Day 1 knew you were the one. No Greater feeling… #TrueLove @Ciara,” Wilson gushed on Instagram about the proposal.
Ciara also gushed about her new fiancé. “He got it ALLL…,” she tweeted.
“God is Good!” she continued in another tweet. “For You @DangRussWilson. You Are Heaven Sent. I’m Looking Forward To Spending Forever With You.”
“I Feel Complete,” Ciara – who has a 22-month-old son, Future Zahir, with her ex Future – captioned a stunning photo of the duo right after the proposal.
The engaged couple first stepped out as a couple in spring 2015 at the Obamas’ Japanese state dinner.
“We get to have really healthy conversations and focus on each other as people,” she told Cosmopolitan last month about their relationship (both have been open about abstaining from sex). “That is very important to me and him. We’re just enjoying ourselves and going one day at a time and praying and staying positive.”
