Players and officials of Port Harcourt based DeRock FC on Tuesday got financial succour and a partnership agreement with Premier All Stars Football Club.
DeRock FC recently won the National finals of the Neymar Jrs 5 a side tournament and are set to represent Nigeria in Brazil for the World finals next month.
Former chairman of Premier All Stars, Elder Kingsley Ita told the players that they were happy to identify with the team and urged them to stay focused.
“We are happy to identify and associate with you because you have done so much on your own and we are pledging to support you in any way that we can.
“Keep working hard, stay focused on the task ahead and do not get carried away by the distractions in Brazil,” Ita said.
They called on other youths to emulate De Rock lads by finding meaningful ventures to involve in and try not to take such opportunities for granted.
Chairman of the club, Wilcox also did not hide his joy at the fact that DeRock FC traveled from Port Harcourt to Lagos to win the tournament and will now represent the state in Brazil.
The team was presented with a cash gift to help with logistics as they continue to prepare for the Neymar World finals in Brazil.
Rivers State coordinator of the Neymar 5 a side, China Acheru continues to urge Rivers people to take advantage of this opportunity presented by DeRock FC to be part of this grand event taking place in Sao Paolo next month
