An anti-corruption watchdog in Rivers State known as the Integrity Group has raised alarm over an alleged recruitment exercise currently going on at Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State for the employment of five hundred thousand teachers by the federal government.
The Executive Director of the Integrity Group Livingstone Wechie alleged that the recruitment exercise is fraudulent.
He wondered why the recruitment exercise for the employment of five hundred thousand teachers by the federal government would be done at the secretariat of a political party.
He also said that the APC is extorting the sum of N10,000 from unemployed youths who are looking for a way to secure the job
Livingstone Wechie also called on security agencies and anti-graft agencies to investigation the alleged recruitment exercise currently going at the APC Secretariat in Port-Harcourt.
In the meantime, the Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State Chris Finebone said the allegation by the Integrity Group does deserve a response from the APC.
He stated that the allegation by the group was baseless and unfounded.
