Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has reassured people in the state that he is still governor despite the judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja, Vanguard reported.
The judgement was handed over to Ikpeazu due to alleged falsification of tax receipts.
Ikpeazu has stated that he remains governor of the state according to law and only through court will the case be judged.
He further added that he will appeal the ruling as instructed by his lawyers.
Ikpeazu was ordered to vacate his office immediately due to submitting false documents about his governorship in the People’s Democratic Party in 2014.
