The Super Eagles will be without CSKA Moscow striker, Aaron Samuel, for the upcoming international friendly matches against Mali and Luxembourg.
The striker sustained a knee injury during the Russian Cup final and has been ruled out of action for a couple of months.
He was named in the 26-man list for the two friendlies but will not make the trip for the games against Mali’s Les Aiglons and the Luxembourg national side.
No replacement has been announced for Samuel and according to the team’s media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, the remaining players will make the trip.
“There won’t be any call-up to replace Aaron (Samuel) for the upcoming games against Mali and Luxembourg,” Ibitoye said during a live television programme, Sports Tonight, on Tuesday.
“The NFF has come out to say the remaining 25 players are okay for the two games.”
Samuel has scored three goals in 10 games for CSKA Moscow since his switch from Chinese Super League side, Guangzhou R&F.
