The Premier League will keep four Champions League for the 2017/2018, after Juventus were eliminated from the competition.
Paul Pogba and Juan Cuadrado had put the Serie A champions two goals up against Bayern Munich, but the hosts fought back to win 4-2 on the night and 6-4 on aggregate.

This result implies bad news for Italy, who had been hoping to upstage England into third in UEFA’s coefficient ranking this season and thus getting one spot off the Premier League.

Juventus’ exit, coupled with Sparta Prague’s humiliation of Lazio in the Europa League on Thursday, leaves the Italian league without any representatives in Europe this season.

England already has an unassailable 3.97 coefficient points lead.

The Premier League still has Manchester City left in the Champions League and Liverpool in the Europa League. Only Germany and Spain have outperformed English clubs this season.
