Rotimi Amaechi stated this during All Progressives Congress APC campaign rally at Afara community in Etche Local Government of Rivers State.
Amaechi revealed that the former president and his Wife, Patience Jonathan imposed Wike on the people so that they will be paid at the end of every month.
The former governor noted that the decision to impose Wike on Rivers people can be corrected on March 19, National and State Assembly re-run election.
He said that the only way to stop the Governor is to vote for all candidates of the APC during the re-run election.
The Minister of Transportation also called on the people of the State to resist any attempt of the PDP to rig the election. He said that the mistake of 2015 election will not be repeated this time around.
Amaechi called on party supporters to remain steadfast in the course to bring change to Rivers people.
The Minister of Transportation also appealed to APC members to commence a door-to-door campaign for the Saturday re-run election.
The former Governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transportation Rt.Hon.Chibuike Amaechi also accused the Nyesom Wike administration of neglecting the education legacy he left as the Governor of the State.
Rotimi Amaechi said all the education facilities in the state has been abandoned by Nyesom Wike in the name of politics.
He stated that pupils do not have access to education facilities in the State owned model primary schools across the State.
”Whenever Nyesom Wike wants to campaign, he goes to the schools I built. Children could no longer go to school because there is no place for them to study. The schools are littered with grasses”.
Also speaking at the rally, the candidate of APC for the Rivers East Senatorial District Andrew Uchendu promised to attract federal projects for the people of the area.
He stated that his opponent for Senatorial position George Sekibo has not done anything for the Senatorial district during his stay at the Senate.
