The Rivers State House of Assembly has assured the people of Bonny of the State Government’s readiness to provide emergency response facilities to tackle any crisis in the area.
The chairman, RiversState House of Assembly Adhoc Committee on Fire incidents in Bonny and Chairman House Committee on Environment Christian Ahiakwor stated this during during a fact finding mission to ascertain the cause of the fire incident that took place in Bonny between December 2016 and January 2017.
Christian Ahiakwor said the State Government will do everything possible to assist the victims of the fire disaster in Bonny.

The Member Representing Bonny Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly Abinye Pepple said the visit of the Ad-hoc Committee to Bonny will bring succour to the victims of the fire incident.
Meanwhile, the Chairman Caretaket Committee, Bonny Local Government Area, Simeon Hart appealed to the State Government to build a fire station in Bonny.
