Rivers State Governor NYESOM WIKE has again condemned what he described frequent transfer of commissioners of police and other heads of security agencies in Rivers State.
Governor NYESOM WIKE while playing host to the management of Pabod Breweries of Government House Port Harcourt said frequent transfer of Commissioners of Police in the state is hampering the fight against crime in Rivers State.
Governor NYESOM WIKE however declared that crime rate has reduced in the State apart from few cases of kidnapping.
The Governor further said that his administration will partner with the private sector in job creation with the view to take youths off the streets
The General Manager of Pabod Breweries Riaan Meyer in his speech said Pabob is currently expanding its scope with the aim of creating more job opportunities in Rivers State.
Meanwhile, Governor NYESOM WIKE has declared that the construction of the Igwuruta/Chokocho Road will be completed and commissioned by September this year.
WIKE during an inspection visit to the Igwuruta/Chokocho Road said he is happy with the pace of work on the road.
The Governor however expressed fears that the planned expansion of the road would require demolition of existing structure.
