Superstar Beyonce snubbed the UK launch of her Ivy Park clothing range out of fear of being outshone by Kate Moss.
The Drunk in Love hitmaker reportedly ‘skipped the launch’ of her new sports clothing range in London because she was afraid of being outshone by British supermodel Kate Moss , according to The Sun.
Despite Bey’s team insisting the superstar was never going to attend the launch of the clothing range named after her daughter Blue Ivy, the newspaper claims when word got that Queen Bey wasn’t attending, other A-listers like Kate Beckinsale opted not to attend.
“Initially, Topshop was hoping Beyonce would be at the launch,” said an insider. “But the entire attraction is lost without her being there and so many of the A-list guests lost interest.”
The newspaper also claims that after the alleged snub, the launch, which was attended by the likes of Talia Storm, was downgraded to a ‘chance to shop’ event before the line is released properly.
Mirror Online has contacted Beyonce’s representatives for comment.
The singing sensation partnered with Topshop boss Sir Philip Green for the new range of swimwear and sportswear clothing.
The artist occasionally known as Sasha Fierce also models the line in a sexy monochrome swimsuit with the Ivy Park slogan, paired with black high top trainers and not a lot else.
One of the shots shows her causally hanging from some hoops and looking amazing while she does it.
In true Beyonce style, the line has been made to make women feel confident and sexy when they’re working out or sunning themselves. It will include over 200 pieces of clothing and accessories designed by the superstar.
