Victor Boniface of Nigeria and Bayern Leverkusen has been named the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for August.
The German team announced the new achievement on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The 22-year-old beat out goalkeeper Xavi Simons and another goalie, Noah Atubolu.
Boniface has five goals in four games for the German side and was named Player of the Week and Goal of the Week just last week when the squad beat Darmstard.
Boniface is currently representing Nigeria in the AFCON qualifiers and hopes to play against Sao Tome and Principe on Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
