Court remands APC chieftain to prison for filming court proceedings

Justice J.K.OMOTOSHO of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt division has remanded one BARILE NORMAGIMA to two days in prisons for filming court proceedings with his phone.

The Judge also ruled that BARILE NORMAGIMA should be brought to court on Thursday to tell the court why he will not be prosecuted.

BARILE NORMAGIMA is the APC Ward 19 Chairman in Gokana Local Government Area.

Also, the Federal High Court has adjourned till Thursday 13th December, for a definite hearing into the case between the Peoples Democratic Party PDP against the All Progressives Congress APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP had gone to court to stop the APC in Rivers State from fielding a candidate for the 2019 general elections for an alleged breached of electoral during their party primaries.

The PDP is alleging that the internal crisis that rocked the APC during their primaries was the basis for filing the suit against.

The Presiding Judge Justice J.K.OMOTOSHO said the adjournment was necessitated was to enable INEC to be served in the interest of justice and fair hearing.
